Sustainable Rural Development International Limited ("SRDI" or “We”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

We do not collect any personal data from you at any time unless you write to us and provide your email, in which case we will retain your email to communicate with you on the issue(s) you raise or comments on our work.

​This policy only applies to our site. If you leave our site via a link or otherwise, you will be subject to the policy of that website provider, including the Wix platform, which this site uses. We have no control over that policy or the terms of the website, and you should check their policy before continuing to access the site.

Social Media

 

When using our site, you have the ability to link through to certain social media sites such as Facebook or LinkedIn. Depending on your settings and the privacy policies of these social media and messaging services, we may receive or match your personal data with these sites to show SRDI content while these services are being used. To change your settings on these services, please refer to their privacy notices, which will tell you how to do this.

Marketing

We will only contact you for marketing purposes (for example, keep you up to date on our work based on your previous responses to our campaigns, or let you know of ways in which you can support that work) where we have your consent.  We will generally treat any marketing consent you give us as lasting for 12 months. We never sell or share your information with entities outside SRDI for their marketing purposes.

Information we may collect from you

 

There are two areas on our website where you may provide personal data to us, including when you:

  • Use our contact form

  • Register to be involved with our work

 

The information we collect will depend on the nature of your action, but may include name, email address, telephone number, country and language preference. When you donate through our website, we do not collect or store your financial information, but direct you to a payment provider (Stripe) to process your donation and forward it on to our fund.

​When you provide your information to us, we will only use the information for the purposes for which it is provided, for any compatible purposes, and to fulfil our legal or regulatory obligations, unless you have agreed for your data to be used for other purposes.

​We will only retain the data you provide to us through our website for a maximum of 6 months or as long as required by applicable laws or as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and in accordance with any consents provided. We will delete personal data at the end of this period unless we wish to use it for statistical purposes, in which case we will anonymise it, such that you could never be re-identified with it.

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site (our site). This includes information when requesting further details on our services or making a donation. 

  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

  • If you are (or have been) a client of ours, we may hold some or all of the following information on you: Name, Email Address, Company Name, Address, Phone Numbers and Notes on any interactions we may have had with you and such information shall be subject solely to the terms and conditions of any contract or service agreement we enter into with you subject to the laws of England & Wales. 

 

Stripe

 

We use Stripe for payment, analytics, and other business services. Our payment provider may collect certain information about you to process the payment.  Stripe collects identifying information about the devices that connect to its services. Stripe uses this information to operate and improve the services it provides to us, including for fraud detection. We have no control over that policy, and you should check their policy before continuing to access the site.

Your rights

 

You have the right to request details of the information we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please request the contact details provided below. We will provide this information to you without charge, unless requests are manifestly unfounded, repetitive or excessive, in which case we are entitled to charge an administration fee.

 

You also have a right to have inaccurate information we hold about you rectified or removed and a right, in some circumstances, to restrict or object to us processing your information, or to seek the erasure of your data. If you believe we are not respecting your rights, you are entitled to make a complaint to a relevant supervisory authority.

 

The legal basis on which we hold and use your data will vary depending on the activity involved. In some cases, we might hold the data because it is needed to fulfil a contract or meet our legal obligations (i.e. a donation), in others because it is in our legitimate interest to do so, and in others, because you have consented to this use. Our site may, from time to time, contain links and/or forms to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates.  If you follow a link or fill out a form on any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Finally, if we have entered into a contract for advisory services with you, only the terms and conditions of that contract shall apply.  Any contractual agreement is subject to the laws of England & Wales and are separate and apart from this site or any of its contents.

We may collect information about your computer, including, where available your IP address, operating system and browser type. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual We will not collect personal information in this way.

Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer's hard drive. They help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. They enable us:
