Nature-based Solutions
SRDI is working with our partners in Thailand and the United States to develop proposals for Nature-based Solutions to development, targeting urban and peri-urban areas in Ukraine, Georgia, and Thailand. NbS is a key part of combating climate change and mitigating its effects on urban life, agriculture, and the resulting adverse impact of migration, flooding, drought, and loss of productive land.

A current proposal in development deals with the reconstruction of Ukraine even before the Russian invasion is defeated. NbS can help restore the damaged cities and rural communities to create a resilient Ukraine.

SRDI Supports Ukraine Oyster Production
SRDI is helping develop the Koblevo Region between Odesa and Mykolaiv and above the resort town of Kobleve on the Black Sea. Working with the local NGO Tylihul Life, the objective is to improve the local infrastructure and economy to attract visitors and investment.

You can contribute to the ecological restoration of the Tyluhul Geopark – a UNESCO applicant – by helping to fund the restoration of European oysters using reef balls from the Reef Ball Foundation. The reef balls use marine-friendly concrete, weigh about 100kgs (200 lbs.) each, and help stop shore erosion.
